Does anyone know how to use the Nextel Blackberry 7100i as a modem?

Not usre if anyone has done it with Nextel because it would be painfully slow.

I can tell you this first hand you need shark modem software and its slower than dial up

If you're using 7100i which is a Nextel device you will have to deal with the Nextel network speed of 19.9kbs. When compared to other network speeds which are 50kbs + you'll notice a diffrence.

Some people can deal with the 19.9 speeds. Give it a try.
