My Storm shows this every time I start it up. It only allows me to hit OK, and nothing happens from there. The phone still acts as normal. Can anyone help to get rid of this?

If it helps any, I just deleted the contacts, and a few other things via the Advanced menu with the Desktop Manager, and it started after I turned it off and back on.

Hi npor, welcome to the forums, and sorry to hear about your problems. I had the same problems and started a thread here:http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...-problems.html I wonder if you'll encounter the same problems when syncing?
Unfortunately the only answer that makes sense is that there is a database error that can't be rectified. For me the only solution was to wipe my Storm and reinstall the operating system. On the plus side this forum is full of very helpful and knowledgeable people who can help you do this if/when you decide to do this, OR you could take the Storm back to your provider to see what they can do. Either way, take a look at my thread, search the other topics for a ton of great ideas, and then post back what you decide to do.
In my case I upgraded from VZW's .75 firmware to the .113 firmware and am very happy I did.

Thanks a ton. What program can I use to wipe/reinstall?

I've obviously got the Desktop Manager, but I don't know which firmware I should download and try to load. I have the 9530. Isn't the .112 FW the only FW that'll work with the 9530?

I thought the .113 was for the 9500, or 9000, or whatever it is, and the .112 was for the 9530.

I'm using the .113 for my Storm 9530. The most current is the .122. Ithink you might be confusing the .112 and the .113 but rest assured, the .113 is for the 9530. If you look on this pagehttp://www.blackberrynews.com/2009/0...-found-online/ it'll show you where to find the .113 firmware. As far as wiping it, the install will do it, but to make sure, try JL_Cmder here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...-jl_cmder.html to wipe the Storm (using Windows) then run Loader.exe from the folder created when you ran the .exe you that is the .113 firmware.

BTW, if you want to go with the .122 firmware, which I intend to migrate to this weekend, here is an excellent how-to: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html this is a good how to for the .113 as well because the files and folders are in the same place. Good Luck!

BTW, when was your last backup?

How long have you had your Storm, and when did this problem begin?

The likely issue is that you've installed a 3rd party application that initializes upon device startup, and the app has a bug.

You can either ensure that all of your 3rd party apps are set to not automatically start up. Or, you can just start uninstalling 3rd party apps, beginning with the most recently installed apps, testing along the way to see if the error stops occurring.
