Is there a way to update the default IT policy on BES 4.1? I'm trying to have the policy automatically generate encryption keys and increase the number of times it tries to send the keys to the individual devices.

Just modify the default policy to do what you want. Or create a new policy and move everyone to that.

I would recommend that you browse the BES Admin guide. Pick you flavor.
