Is their any way to get a BB equivilent of the MS Mobile Today Screen or the Today theme on the Verizon 8703e? The 8703 only has a few themes preloaded and they are not very good. Thanks

Just a side note from a fellow 8703e user i find today themes as well as zen not always working properly. I don't know if it's because i only do the OTA ones or what but I always find myself having an issue of getting the menu up and or profiles

I'm a huge fan of Vodafone Today on my 8703e, which you can search and find an OTA d/l link on these forums.

IIRC, the device also ships with the Dimension Today theme pre-loaded

I've been using the Dimension-Today theme (downloaded OTA) for over a month. The only thing I've noticed is its a bit slow when changing profiles because of the processor. Also in the Calendar portion of the home screen I need to do a KB lock to update the next 2 events/appointments. Other than that, its the best theme for me.

Why don't you try PocketDay Pro. Very nice home screen w/ all the vital info. I use it w/ the Wave-Icon theme. Use your search to get screenshots of Pocketday.

I really don't know why I have an issue using it WHS. I'm glad it works for you it's a great theme don't get me wrong I just don't know why i have that problem. Coincidently I had the same issue on my 8700g when i had it *sigh* oh well!

Oh the issue is being locked out from my profiles and or menu's and having to hard reset then change out of the theme!

Zen, Dimension today, and Voda today are not included with the 8703e. Do a search for dimension today and you will find the OTA link.

If you mean slow GUI action, that's normal for Zen and Today themes. Different processor than 8700 because its CDMA/Qualcomm

The only process that is slower on my 8703e (as stated previously) is the changing of profiles, but not enough to make me go back to an icon theme. I have Vodafone Today, Dimension Today, and Zen Theme loaded with very little impact to the processor speed.

Hover over the icon you want to move. Then press-hold the ALT key and click the trackwheel. Select Move Icon.

While that works on most icon themes, it does not work on this theme. I did, however, discover the "organize applications" at the bottom of application menu which works perfectly.
