What would happen if I downloaded the Vodafone UK or any OS for that matterto my BB? is there a difference not just in language or themes? I currently have Cingular

You can load any carrier's version onto any BB (they are all written by RIM, but tested and released by the carriers).

If you DO want to load another carriers OS, make sure you locate and delete VENDOR.XML from your PCs C: drive before you sttampt to load it.
