BUT there's NO upgrade for the Pearl 8100

So what you have on the 8100, that's it. There's no way to add any additional voice commands features to your 8100.

yes they do have an upgrade fro the pearl!!
what it dos is open apps for example...
IF i say> open camera - it opens the camera app
If i say> Open address book - it opens address book
things of that nature. It is only for the blackberry 8100 at this time and also other smart phones I think running windows and palm OS

I too am amazed by the voice dialing.

Is anyone else as amused as I am about the gimpy way it says "voicemail"?

Voice dialing works very well on the Pearl. Nothing comes close on other devices.

None. There is no need for this to be brought up again. This is a conversation about voice dialing and is going pretty well. No more signature talk please. I went to the company website that makes that program. I look everywhere and they do not have an upgrade for the 8100.

I too think that pre-setup voice dialing is a great feature and a great enhancement. However, it doesn't really work very well if you have an accent :(

Similar to the customer services these days where it asks you to tell your number.

Machine: Tell me why you are calling for. You can say things like "billing issues", "adding a new line", "problems with girlfriend".
Me: Billing issues
Machine: Sorry I did not get that. Can you repeat again
Me: Billing issues
Machine: Sorry I did not get that, before I can direct you to somebody I need to know why you are calling for
Me: F***
(machine recognizes that I used the F word and connects me to the dude)


anyway since my accent is not fixable easily, does anybody know how to record commands manualy on the pearl? this great technology is not very useful for foreigners...
