Default 8100 Bluetooth Profile? Nokia CK-7W

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know what Bluetooth profile the 8100 uses? I'm having problems using my 8100 with a Nokia CK-7W car kit. I've disabled encryption and the address book, but outgoing calls stay on the handset. Incoming calls come through the car kit. If I make an outgoing call on the handset and then use the redial function (2 taps) on the car kit, it works fine.

Is there a way to switch to the bluetooth device?

Here is some information I found on another forum.

Quote:
I had lots of issues with connecting my Blackberry phone to the car kit via Bluetooth.
Symptoms: pairs correctly, works for first few minutes but then stops working so that mute function doesn''t work and basically it does not route calls via the car kit.

Resolution:
Delete all pairing history from the car kit (the unit stores 7 previous pairings); make sure unit is off and remote switch light is out before proceeding ==> press and hold the remote switch button until the system beeps (this takes at least 10 seconds). All pairing history is now deleted.

From the mobile phone; search for new devices and enter passcode (default is 0000). Adjust mobile phone so that it trusts the Nokia CK-7W device (i.e. it won''t keep prompting for passcode if it makes a connection).

IMPORTANT BIT:

Always use the mobile phone to gracefully DISCONNECT from the Nokia car kit and use the car kit remote switch button to CONNECT.

This has solved all issues and system works every time for me now.

Hope this helps.

Default 8100 and Nokia Ck-7W connection

No joy with that solution either. The phone appears to connect when I start my car, but will not make a call via bluetooth. The only way I get a successful connection is to disable bluetooth, then re-enable bluetooth and select connect. That kinda defeats the functionality...and is a real PITA.

Everything worked great with my Nokia 6220.

I've also tried setting the bluetooth to "Ask", but that doesn't help.

I'm thinking about ditching the CK-7W for a Motorola IHF1000.

I'm having the same symptoms with my truck's factory bluetooth kit (which is made by nokia). Even worse, it will occasionally switch the audio output to the truck's speakers while leaving the microphone on the handset active!

I'd love a reliable fix for this - thus far, I haven't been able to find a set of steps that always works.

Hi guys, did anyone solve this problem?

I'm experiencing the same problem as you, I'm a BB 8700v and a Car Kit
Nokia CK-7W that works fine with his cell phone but not with the BB.

Thanks for any reply.

Fabrizio.

No success. The Blackberry bluetooth doesn't play well with others. I'm waiting to install a Motorola in my friend's car and if it works with the BB, I'll get one.
