Default turn off BES

I currently use both BES and BIS. I am planning to turn off my BES service for a little while. Will I loose all my contacts from my handheld if I turn it off?

what do you mean 'turn it off' ??

your contact list should be fine, but lookups will probably fail.

Delete the Desktop [xxxxx] service books and that will stop the sync with BES without loosing any information you currently have on the device. OR, you can backup the device, wipe it, and restore the address book, calendar, memopad, tasks, etc.

Yes, you'll be fine but I would do backups regularly. We on BES get used to not having to do backups because it's all backed up wirelessly (most of it anyway).
