Default AT&T 8800 - OS Question (please help)

Please Login to Remove!

I don't know much about all this upgrading stuff.

I own an 8800. I got it last month.

I've read that BB released a new OS. Does the upgrade apply to my 8800 from AT&T, too? Currently, when I go to [options] [about], it says: v4.2.1.72 (Platform 2.3.0.54)

Do I already have latest software?

Also, what are the changes in the new software? Will the themes no longer say "Cingular" on them? Are the changes just visible ones or what? Please explain.

The newest OS is posted in a sticky at the top of the BB 8800 series forum. The current OS is v4.2.1.101

is that sticky, you can use any of the 8800 OS that you find here.
do not use the 8830 as it will not work with your 8800.

I've use a few others and they work fine, just follow the instruction on doing the upgrade.
