First time installing BB exchange 2007. I get the error "Failed to open default message store, result=0x8004011d." in the event viewer and also get a error when first opening the bb manager. "Failed to open the default message store using gthe Mapi Profile BlackberryManager."


any help would be great.

you dont have the proper exchange permissions for the blackberry service account, there is a thread on settin gup exchange 2007 permissions.

Exchange 2007 is not yet officially supported by RIM. I get the same error while trying to create MAPI profile. Aside from the error your BES will work fine with Exchange 2007. You just have to wait a little longer

I was talking with someone and they suggested enabling the public folders on exchange 2007 for this to work.

I tried to following the resolution Earlier Outlook clients cant connect to Exchange 2007 Server, but now when I try to enable public folder distribution, under the Default Offline Address book properties. I get the error:

set-offlineaddressbook
Failed
Error:
Your organization does not have any Public Folders infrastructure. You cannot configure Offline Address Books for Public Folder Distribution.

Hi I have experience to Install BES v 4.1.3 with Exchange 2007 and i have the same problem and I think this forum can solve you.

you try to download ExchangeMapi Client 1.2.1 and install it on BES Server before install BES.

I recently solved this issue after about a 10 hour search.

The last requried step was: Create a public message store and reboot.

No idea why. I saw it mentioned in a couple of places. Once I did that, BES started working fine. Make sure you look at the other thread for all the little prior steps, but that was the one that finished it after the msgstore error.

I have an exchange server 2007 environment and i have just received my link to the new version of 4.1.3 bes software from RIM. This is my problem:

Even though i have followed the details from teh instalation guide with regards to the installation settings, I keep getting and error when add a new user to the BES it keeps initializing. I have done quite a bit of troubleshooting so far with my Roger's tech support, but we keep getting the issue of the user failing to be initialized. I have printed the output of the IEMStest log when verifying the permissions:
