Exclamation Media Card Fault

Please Login to Remove!

After updating my Blackberry 8320 the other day,
my phone will now only start if the media card is NOT inserted.

If inserted, the phone will perminetly freeze on start up, forcing me to reboot.

What should I do in order for my phone to operate with the Media card?

Thanks

Search button is your friend ;P. http://www.blackberryforums.com/medi...t-reboots.html

So basically take out the sd card and put in your computer copy all the media to your computer. Put the sd card back in and format it with the phone then connect your phone to the pc and put your media back on the card.

Sounds like that won't be possible since the phone won't let him in to format the card.

I would copy the media to the pc like the previous post mentions, then use the pc to format, and see if the bb will boot up properly, if so, then you can format with the bb and then copy media back over to the card.

I have to go through this dance just about every time I update the OS on my 8330. I updated to 4.5.131 yesterday and luckily I just had to reboot the device. The camera wouldn't work, and I thought "Here we go again" after the reboot, everything has been working fine.

But yes, it sounds like the PC route is your solution. I have no idea why this happens.

I don't know if this helps, but I always take my media card out when doing anything to my OS. I let the phone boot up download the service books, register on the network. Then I shut it down, put the media card back in, then let it start back up.
