Default Desktop Manager Uninstalled/Reinstalled - OS Removed??

Please Login to Remove!

I downgraded to DM 4.5 from 4.6 and in the process, I'm quite certain that DM uninstalled my current OS (4.5.0.55) from my (Win XP) computer. Here's why I'm concerned...

-program files - common files - RIM - Apploader
appears to have all the normal files

but,
-program files - common files - RIM - shared - loader - (current os)
java files are all missing except the folder with those I removed

That said, DM and my 8310 are both working well (with the usual problem of DM's backup requiring work-arounds). I regularly sync my 8310 w/Outlook and can add/remove programs without problems.

Do I need to reinstall my BB's OS (4.5.0.55) in my computer?

Yes. I dont know why but uninstalling Desktop Manager will also uninstall all installed OSes.

Thx Doug
Working ok as is, though I'm not sure what DM does with no java programs to load or compare against. Ideally I'd wait for an "official" 8310 OS release above 4.5.0.55. I hate to go thru the OS install, delete everything that I don't use and then find another official 4.5 version released the next day. Seems it's been a while since the last official 4.5 release for the 8310 (but I'm drifting). Anyway, thx again.
