Ok, so I just upgraded my OS to 5.0.0.680 and did a full wipe using JL_Cmder before putting 5.0.0.680 to ensure the cleanest install. I resent my BIS service books and re-EA'd my device on my corporate BES (i'm the BES administrator in my company) and now I can not get my facebook application to connect. I keep getting "A connection cannot be established to the Facebook server." One odd thing to note, the application itself is showing up under "Core" applications and not "Third Party" applications which is where i would expect to find it.

I have google'd this endlessly and tried everything and still can not get the freaking application to work. Does anyone have any suggestions they can offer me? All my other apps and services work as expected.

Thanks but what I really want to know is why it's not working now. I really like the application and it did all I wanted it to do especially the integration into the other parts of the OS.

I believe it to be a facebook problem, ive gotten multiple calls from different carries, all with facebook getting the same error message as the OP, but oddly enough it works from iphones.

Yes. FaceBook is having a problem today. Multiple people complaining.

Perhaps you could contact FaceBook technical support.

Well, I suppose it won't hurt to wait one more day then. By the way, absolutely loving the 9700. I'm in BB heaven !!!!!!

I think its more of a RIM issue and may or may not be other apps.
