Re: Leaked OS 6.0.0.448 for the 9780
Downloaded last night. Did a Javawipe and reinstalled as well. Available memory is sitting at 272.5 MB, same as the previous release. Have not had much chance to really see if there are any differences over the previous release. Will post more as soon as I know.
Update: Universal search has issues and actually searches very few things...no emails or messages get searched...amongst other things...
It seems RIM has issues with this feature, as I've had problems before on previous releases. I may have to reload yet once again.

Re: Leaked OS 6.0.0.448 for the 9780
Running this now. I was running the stock Rogers build and the e-mail list header would sometimes get "doubled" and cause some interesting effects.
This appears to have been fixed?

And we have a SIM cooker for an os. New start up screen, thumbnail bookmark view in the browser, updated facebook, app world, and more, but after 12 hours of use, it fried my SIM. I have a spare thankfully, but no way to call and swap the sims at the momment. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS BUILD!!!

"SIM cooker for an OS"????
Really bad advice -- you obviously have something else going on on your BB. SIMS don't get fried from any RIM OS, leaked or otherwise. I have the OS loaded on (4) 9780's...with no such issues on any of them, nor does anyone else I have talked to or heard from on this board.
Before you piss on an OS and offer a completely unfounded claim as you have here...you should check more carefully to ensure that the problem is in fact what you claim.

Well, it displayed "SIM not allowed:3" and after searching for this the only consistant thing I saw on this site and several others were that the people that saw this error in the past were running a beta. I hope it was just a case of the SIM expiring (it dates back to November 2008 when I got a pearl flip). I have changed over to the original SIM that came with my 9780 and hope it doesn't fry.

Re: Leaked OS 6.0.0.448 for the 9780
Those posts were from people who had no clue -- I read them as well. They talked about OS4.5 on older devices. Their theory was that the carriers and RIM were in cahoots to keep clients on the original networks. That was a load of made-up crap. Your OS isn't frying your SIM. Your SIM may not be fried either. Try it on another phone, or reload the OS if you don't have one. You have nothing to lose. Is this by chance an unlocked phone? What carrier are you on? Anyway, I am sure it was not the OS that did your SIM in. It could also be an old SIM card that just died?

My SIM is older than my kids. My eldest is 7. It has rocked out in something like 15 Blackberries running every OS release under the sun, BETA and otherwise.
You have other problems.

It's the engine from my Capri. Originally from my '87 GT (RIP). It has Ford Racing valve covers on it (and lots of other parts).

Re: Leaked OS 6.0.0.448 for the 9780
I remember the Capri back from the 70's...was such a cool car! I've recently become a bit of a Ford buff myself...picked up a 2005 Ford GT last week. I was never a Ford guy, but I think this marks a new beginning for me...
Who knows...might trade my GMCHD2500 for an F250 next!

It's a T-mobile branded 9780 with a T-mobile SIM, and the phone is still locked to tmobile. I tried the SIM in my old 8900 and 8320 with the same message and a myTouch slide 3G which had no error, but wouldn't connect to a network. Yes, I have a propper data plan. I did not believe TMO or RIM would remotely fry the SIM but I do believe it possible that faulty code in the OS could damage the SIM. The SIM that fried was just over 2 years old and was the one that came with my 8320. I got the SIM that came with the 9780 and had CS activate that SIM. So far no issues. Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing if my SIM would still be working if I didn't load this OS. I will monitor the event log and go back through it to see if there was any indication of the OS playing a part.

I will fire up my 92 VMAX and see you in my mirror for a while.
Why no bubble on the hood? the first one had it and do you know why?

The Max is my favorite bike. And are probably the most memorable 1/4 mile warrior of the motorcycle world. But you can't really compare a bike to a car.
BTW, what bubble are you referring to? I assume you are talking about the GT40?

Oh - so ya might not wanna go there...cuz then, I'll fire this up and you'd be in my rear-views in less than a second...
200 RWHP and quarter's in the 8's (not with me on it, but I'll pull mid 9's...
You'll also need nitrous to catch me -- do you have some of that?
Oh ya...she's already race prepped (the one on the left)...stretched, slammed, geared, piped, chipped, heads/cam etc...so...ya...she's fast! She used to eat my Busa's for lunch...LOL, but as OVERKILL stated, not a fair comparison...shoot, even my Kawasaki Concours 14 could eat my FGT for lunch.
Sorry man - couldn't resist...BTW, I just love when the cagers try me on that thing...with them in 2nd and me in like 6th, walking them while I relax and have a smoke waiting for them to arrive...
Ya, it's a ZX14...a serious drag bike - for a stock production machine anyway...BTW, I love Vmax's, one of my favorite bikes...
To answer your question - not sure which "bubble" you're referring to and no, I don't know why...please explain. I'm always interested in knowing more!
