I just sent a mail and then wanted to check something. So I went into Messages and did "ALT+O" which has ALWAYS given me my "outbox".

But it does nothing.. Infact, none of the short keys do anything (i.e ALT+I).

I know this was working yesturday and the only thing I have done today is to upgrade to 4.5.0.92! Looks like this is broken!!

I hope this gets fixed soon.. Has anyone else upgraded? Can they verify this problem?

Edit: Strange.. I have been trying some other ALT combinations.. ALT+U still "unreads".. ALT+V shows your "Voicemail".. ALT+Delete "deletes".. But I,O, S and P don't work any more!

Interesting. I looked through the thread on this OS release and haven't seen anyone mention this. Try a battery pull and see if that clears it up for you.

You may also want to mention it in that thread to see if you get any feedback from others that have installed it.

Already tried pulling the battery.. I was actually optimistic that it would be the cure, but typed my original post whilst it was rebooting. Once it had rebooted and I confirmed the problem was there, I submitted the post.

Good idea about adding it to the Firmware post.. Will do that now.

Thats a bit worrying.. It certainly doensn't work on mine! Not sure what to do now!

Does anyone have ANY suggestions for me? I miss the ALT+O feature as I use it daily!

Can anyone else who has done the upgrade confirm whether they have NOT seen this issue.. One person so far has said that theirs is OK, but its hardly conclusive.

I guess my only optoin is to "downgrade" and see if the feature returns, just to rule out the upgrade as the cause!

You probably just need to re-add that Search parameter.

1. Go to Messages, press the menu key, then select Search.
2. Change the Show: parameter to Sent Only, press the menu key, then select Save.
3. For the Title you can type in Outgoing (or whatever you want).
4. For the Shortcut key you can select O.
5. Save the search.

OK. Well, I have downgraded and the problem is still there, so it looks like my belief that it was a bug in the latest firmware is flawed.

I like this suggestion.. But I can't do the "shortcut" bit.

When I do a search, I have the options:

Name:
In:
Subject
Message
Include Encrypted Messags
Service:
Folder:
Show:
Type:

Everything you said makes sense, but I can't see how I can give this a 'shortcut'! I KNOW there is a way to do this, as I was playing with this before, but I can't find it now.

Check step #2 again. Once you change the Show parameter to "Sent Only," you need to press the BlackBerry menu key again, and then select Save. This will take you to the screen where you can assign a shortcut to the search.

Ahha.. When i select, 'save' it brings up the option for "Title" and "Shortcut".. And now I look back, I can see that in step 2, you say "Select Save".. My fault.

I notice that when I do "Recal" and I can that I only have an 'o' option (which I just created) and a 'v' so you are right.. All of the ALT searches are gone.. I am going to compare mine to a colleagues later and see how his is setup.

Its working great now.. Thanks for your help.

I had better upgrade again now before I forget.
