Where do I go to change what shows up as level 1. I'm on Rogers. It currently shows my PIN messages in red in my mailbox.

I want it to show emails from a specific person.
Since I know how hard it is to read these posts from your BB I'll answer again....You set this up in the filters for your email in your providers BIS site on the web.

You have two options... use a theme that has separate 'icons' for email and SMS messages

-OR-

Go into the messages app and hit Alt-S to show only the text messages.

The second option above is what I typically do, depending on the theme I'm using at the time.

Ok I checked out the Rogers BIS site and see all the filters there.

Is there any way I can set SMS messages from a specific contact to show up as Level 1?

What provider are you with? Go to your provider's BIS website and set them up there.

awesome...I've been trying to figure this out, thanks for the tip. But, is there a way to save this preference, rather than having to hit Alt-S everytime?

Thanks!

Default RE: SMS messages

Hi,

The 'Alt + S' combo works great for the 'Messages' icon/area. However, is there an alternative to have a separate icon/area that just displays just the sms messages?

Thanks.

Yes, upgrade your OS to the 4.2 version, and you get an option to separate the SMS and email.

My Curve shows Level 1 Messages in Bold and Red when unread and just red when read...

Thumbs up Cool...

Thanks for the info, everyone. I've been wondering for some time what a Level 1 message was, and how to designate which emails were considered Level 1. I'm finally at the point where I want emails from a specific address to have that different alert, so I've now set-up the filter through my BIS!
