Default Installed Verichat...Not a good start.

Please Login to Remove!

I just downloaded and installed the trial version of Verichat 2.40b on my Verizon 7250, running OS4.

After installing, the option to FORCE MDS had to be checked in order for me to properly authenticate with Yahoo Messenger. I assume that the option needed to be checked?

Anyways, after successfully logging in, I get a screen where the top tool bar has icons of all four IM services. Below that is my Yahoo ID with a checked box to the left of it. None of my contact list buddies are present. On the bottom of the screen, it says LOGOUT force.

So...after going to the menus, it gives me the following:

Hide Menu
Login
Configure
Network Settings
Exit
License
About
Change Option.

I have my firewall disabled.

So...what am I doing wrong? Why won't my buddy list appear? Why is there not a selection in the menus to ADD CONTACT. I tried sending an IM from another account to the Yahoo ID that I set up just for Verichat and nothing happened.

Please enlighten me.

Default

I figured it out.

Thanks.

MDS had to be unchecked...oddly enough, I left it unchecked the first time and it didn't login properly...now it does. Weird.

I had one disconnect during the first hour of use...while I was adding contacts. Hope it doesn't become a habitual problem.

It does, as I have read in threads, take some serious battery power to keep it running in the background. I have an extended batt on the way...I hope this will aleviate the issue.
