Default Am I just really unlucky or does the Curve have alot of problems?

Please Login to Remove!

I bought one last week at Tmobile and paid full price for it.

The first one the trackball was really mushy and didn't register pressing it most of the time.

The second one kept switching between GPRS and EDGE and wouldn't do any data related stuff at all. Spent hours on the phone and finally was told to exchange it.

The third one said Invalid SIM before I even left the store and the girl working there tried her sim and it still didn't work.

The forth one, the piece of plastic under the battery cover that wraps around to the front with Tmobiles logo, it didn't fit tight and kept catching the corners and popping it half way off.

Long story short, I returned the forth one and they now tell me they are "out of them" and to try another store...

This phone does everything I could want but I'm sick of dealing with all this...

Am I just so unlucky that I got all 4 of their defective phones? Should I try a different place?

WoW! That is crazy. I would try a different store. Not sure what is going on with those phones. I have had mine for about a week and it has been great so far.

I think that you got a bad deal at that store. If you actually saw the sales person cut the seal on every box then I think that store got a really bad lot of blackberrys. I bought mine the first day it was out and have had no problems at all with the electronic or mechanical operation. I do suspect that there is some slight problem with the Wi-Fi receiver because I never get 3 bars but the GSM/EDGE works great so I am not going to complain.

Man that is rough. Mine has been working perfectly since I got it. No problems with upgrades, new Os installs , tethering or anything really. Don't give up hope! Try another store.

oh my 3rd one.

I think it suffers from some build quality issues, its not perfect. First 2 was cause of reception, this one seems to be fine. But I know what your talking about on that piece! The first curve I had was perfect in housing and quality, but had major reception issues. Blah!
