I just got a new cell phone and it is a blackberry 8310 curve with at&t, and i want to download aim ,i tried the website www.blackberry.com/aim and that doesnt work so do anyone have any ideas? when i try download aim it comes up "sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support AOL Instant Messenger for BlackBerry,"

yup same here, I believe its a problem with the 8300 At&t curves as well..

at&t doesn't allow us to use AIM on its blackberries. as for a workaround, hopefully one will surface but AFAIK we're out of luck. I've heard jivetalk is the best alternative

jivetalk is the way to go for aim

I've used Jivetalk on my BB for a while now. Just go to Beejive.com and download the program, u get a 30 day trial. After that it's either $20 to use full time on one device, or $29 to switch the program from one BB device to another. Best program out there for AIM.

Yeah, the problem is with the Service Books, you can manually get the IM Clients onto the phone, but the service books don't work if you're on AT&T.

Try using Ramble. I use it in place of aim. Same im program as aim.
