good afternoon. i am new to blackberry and was wondering if there is a tide chart available. had one on my palm os and was pretty convenient to have.
thanks,

Not sure if there's a Blackberry program that provides tide data, but you might try wirelessly accessing a website for the data. The trick would be to find data that looks OK on the small Blackberry screen. For east coast tides, you could start here: http://www.saltwatertides.com/pickpred.html.
I also wish a tide chart app existed for the Blackberry. I had a great one for the Treo. Having offline access is nice as I sometimes get to locations without cell coverage thus the web links will not work.
It's a year since the last post on this thread, has anyone developed a tide application for the BB? One of my dive buddies has the Treo application and it works really well. I'd like it on my Pearl.
Any suggestions from the more savvy members on how we go about getting a tide chart application on the BB device? There are 12,383 miles of US coastline. Surely there are more than 5 BB users that would LOVE a tide chart application.
The surfline subscription site is brilliant. They had a very decent mobile website which could be customized to my liking. I haven't checked it out for about a year though I assume it's been improved.
I think NOAA has a bare bones free site with tide info. weatherundergroun.com may have marine info too - their wind data and display is top notch.
You could also try Google SMS for instant gratification. I dunno if it does tides.
Good luck and please let us know what you find.

Thanks for the info Borg, I will keep looking. I know Verizon has pushed tide data on Treo's, I wish we could find the same for BB. I'll keep at it "resistance is futile"
Anyone have any info on what program or what web site works best with the blackberry? I just traded in my Treo for a BB, but sadly I don't have a tide app. Anyone know why there are so few programs for the blackberry? Treo had tons of applications available.
