You can run as many BES as you like but you shouldn't need 2 BES for 60 users though.

BES PRO is only good for 30 unless you upgrade it to full.
Was wondering if a second BES PRO could make it 60 users for half the price.

Going beyond 30 users is like $3000.00. for the 31st user, I can get a server for 750.00.

For 60 user's it would be much better to have one bes and invest the cash for it. At the end of the day and both servers do go down and you dont have DR, you will be re-building 2 servers versus 1.

The ROI for having one server is far greater than not spending and keeping both especially for saving 3K, which will spent elsewhere in IT unnecessarily ;)

Nicely put amukhey.

Just a thought as well. You could purchase an Enterprise License and drop all the licenses in the DB and just use the Enterprise License, it's the key that determines what your BES is(PRO/Enterprise).

It's a cheaper solution to use one BES for all those users and a fraction of the cost.

This place is tight when it comes to money. If it can be done they might have me do it. Even if it means more work. They think its a savings of 2250.00

Thanks Gibson.

Dont tell me you work for a retail company in NYC LOL...I have first hand experience in money being tight. It all depends on the way you defend the idea of it and a simple explanation can make that checkbook come out and sign it for 3K. I have made it work with little they give me but a good argument makes all the difference especially when there is a server crash!

If they value email as much as they state they do, then they will have to do some spending as much as they dont want to do so.

Also, they have to know that the pros outweigh the cons when it comes to bes, one server, licensing especially for not that many users.

Since they are very tight with money..do you have a mail dr scenario and will they spend for a BES DR server?
