Default Odd Contacts Synch issue

Problem:
Cannot synch memopad, notes, address book

Has anyone seen an error like this one?
Basically, in the BB Desktop Manager, you go to Configure PIM, Select Address Book, then go to 'Choose.' If you select MS Outlook, it usually (supposed to?) show 'username'\Contacts. I have one user whos just shows up as blank. And hitting the browse button just hangs the software.
We have already tried to reinstall the desktop manager several times.

Any ideas?

Click on Options and make sure you have the correct User Profile selected.

Now I am getting this error. Is his Outlook profile corrupt? I don't really want to go through a bunch of song and dance because the guy who is having this problem is very high up and I don't want to waste a bunch of time trying different fixes and such.
I will if I have to, but I'm hoping someone knows the immediate fix for this.

tia.

I am having this exact problem as well. I know the correct profile is selected. I even rebuilt his OL profile in case it was corrupt. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Desktop Manager. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Any ideas?

Don't think that notes and memos sync. I think it just over writes them.

I'm not sure what that has to do with not being able to browse to the Outlook folder like all of our other Desktop Manager PIM settings allow us to do.

After spending 1.5 hours last night with tech support I think I'm down to just reimaging the desktop and trying again.

I have never had much success with the notes, but I don't really have a need for them so I guess it never mattered. That being said I was never successful in syncing them. Every time I created notes on the BB they simply over wrote the notes in outlook after syncing. When I want to create a note I simply send an e-mail to myself or as they say note to self.

To anyone that has had the problem that you can't browse to the outlook folder for contacts, notes and tasks in the PIM setup within Intellisync here is the solution that I found when the problem is on a Windows XP pc:

I had to delete the user's windows profile. I made a copy of the user's folder from Documents and settings to the root of C so that I could copy back anything that I needed. I then deleted the users folder in c:\Documents and Settings and rebooted the pc. I logged back on as the user and copied her documents and favorites to the new profile folder. Then Desktop Manager automatically found the user's folders so I could sync her contacts, etc. I also had to make a new OL profile and link it to her old pst files.

I also tried copying back everything to the new profile folder but that also brought back the problem. I have a feeling that the problem resides in an Outlook profile contained within the windows profile but I know that just wiping out the OL profile didn't work.

I'm not the greatest at documenting fixes but this should help if you run into this problem.

All I had to do was recreate the exchange profile and it worked.

sorry for bumping old thread. I was searching for a contact synch issue I'm trying to fix and stumbled on this.

I have found that deleting the Outlook profile did not work. I discovered today with a little bit of playing around that I could fix the problem by deleting the Outlook profile AND deleting the two Outlook folders in Docs and Settings. I don't normally do anything on our Exchange server so I never tried deleting the exchange profile.
