I just installed Blackberry's Desktop software. Everything works fine except for the Media Manager not showing up at all as an option in the program. Is this because I don't have a Media/SD card in my phone? I know for a fact you can't take videos without one, but is the Media Manager disabled too?

Without knowing what version of Desktop Manager you downloaded, it is hard to say--there are versions of DM with and without MM. And sometimes, the Media Manager is just buggy anyway.

I know that's not what you're asking but in my opinion you're better off without it.
Now for the MM, for me it shows up even without a SD card in the device.

Assuming you downloaded the version with the Roxio Media Manager (there is one without) it should be there. Uninstall and reinstall, after confirming you have downloaded the MM version.

I'm having the same problem so maybe it's that I don't have Roxio. Why should I have to when the other Desktop Manager did everything just fine? I'm finding it to be a real pain to "upgrade" when all it does is give me headaches. I feel like I'm either downgrading or at best side-stepping most of the time. I think I know what Vista users are feeling that "upgraded" from XP. I'm becoming a firm believer that the "make sure you have the latest software" rule is really nothing but a farce.

If we don't have MM, then how can we load songs on the BB, or download pics off it?

Ok, I got the same problem. So, you will need to upgrade it to a newer version of Desktop Software with Media Manager. I downloaded the BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.5.0 B16 English - With Media Manager and I finally got the Media Manager. Here is the link: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...55F8366F4ED9E9

i have a similar problem except its the application loader that isn't the i've downloaded 4.2.2 and 4.3 and the same thing i even put my disc that came with the phone in and it still had no app loader any suggestions
