Default Is the Blackberry USB universal?

Please Login to Remove!

I had a system malfunction and I have to download something from the T mobile website. I lost my USB cable that came with the phone. Is this USB cable specific to the Blackberry? Or can I use any USB cable?

Thanks

I always use the one from my digital camera, and I've never had a problem.

As far as I know, at least with nextel, it is just a mini usb cable. not proprietary.

I believe you'll need a USB "A" to USB "mini-B" cable. It's one of the standard.

There is also a USB "A" to USB "mini-A" and I don't think that one will work.

the first word in USB stands for "Universal" so your answer is in your question......it will not matter what cord for anything you use....just as long as the connector piece is the right size

Actually... While U does stand for Universal, I had a "U"SB cable for my POS Motorola MPx200, and it had some sort of resistor in it (a rather nice bulge, I might add) and it would not charge my BB....
