I have a VZW 8830 (v4.2.2.196) and recently started playing with the music player. I got a seido adapter for the headphone jack to patch to a pair of external speakers or into my car stereo.
When I'm playing mp3s, I get pops out of the external speakers or stereo anytime I start or stop a song, or press next or previous, or when it changes between songs on its own. There seems to be one pop at the end of one track and another at the beginning of the next. It sounds much like placing a needle on a record (if anyone here is that old).
While it's playing an mp3, everything is fine during the song. When I play through the blackberry's built-in speakers, I hear the pops, but the speakers are so bad it really isn't noticeable. I know my mp3s don't make them on any of my other players (I have several).
Any ideas on how to stop this noise, or is it just something I need to live with if I want to use the BB to play music (which will be almost never if it's the case)?
Also, can the player sort songs by track, or is only alpha? When I play albums, I do like to hear them in their original order. (I won't ask for gapless or anything like that, though.
)
thanks,
