Default blackberry pearl on verizon

Please Login to Remove!

going to be getting a bb pearl sometime soon...currently on the verizon network and the plan im on right now is the family plan. will i be able to purchase a phone (no plan) and add it to this line?

also there is a choice between Email and Web for BlackBerry and the Blackberry Solution Unlimited Data Usage. most likely im goin to go with the email and web for bb due to it being cheaper. my question is, what does that do? is it the internet or am i mistaken?

thanks for the help.

If you do purchase a Pearl and plan on adding it to Verizon, make sure it is a Verizon-branded device.

I believe the BB Email and Web plan is the unlimited usage for $29.99. This is the plan I recommend. Also, as stated previously, make sure it is a Verizon branded device or it will not work. You can add them to Family Share plan, and the data plan you go with will be just for that device.

$29.99 is for personal email and web usage

$44.99 is for BES/personal email and web usage.

hope it helps!

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Yes.
You should have an unlimited data plan for $29.99. That is for you.

i'm assuming that im limited to a certain amount of data, any idea on how much? also, for the $29.99 one, is it unlimited web usage or does it fall under the amount of data?

Well "Unlimited" really means 5gb. After that they can limit your bandwidth/kill your data service if they wanted to. they dont do it unless you abuse the limit for several months though.

Not only be sure that it is Verizon branded, but get approval from Verizon that the ESN is clear from the stolen/lost blacklist!

Correct. Unless you are planning to use your Pearl with a BES server at work, there's not a point in paying the higher price.

what do you mean? why will i have to do an esn change? i don't see there being a problem in getting the correct plan. all that's going to be done is it added to my current plan (family plan) and be using the 29.99 data plan.

So if i understand right, i will be able to browse websites (yahoo, youtube, blackberryforums) and it be covered under the data plan?

Demon meant that you'll have to change the ESN number on your account from your current phone to the one of your Pearl. And yes, you'll be able to browse the Internet on your phone with the data plan.
