Playing movie locks up phone

After about 30secs in media player watching a move (2hrs long) it locks the phone up. No volume control no buttons work, not even volume. It wont even let the phone ring. Is there a better media player?

A Battery pull is the answer to all your problems.
Just yank the battery out while the device is on, and wait a few minutes. VOILA!! Fixed.
