Hey guys,
I just purchased an unlocked TMobile 8700g. The thing is that my service provider is AT&T. When I try to use the browser it says the following:

Your device does not currently have any Browser COnfiguration Service Book Entries.

Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device.


I called AT&T and they have no clue what I am talking about. Did anyone get this problem? And if yes, how did you fix it?

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan provisioned on your account?
You'll need one of those. Usually around $30 a month.

Do you have a Blackberry Data Plan? If so login to your BIS site and resend the service books yourself. You can also try Menu>Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Tables>Menu>Register Now.

For my blackberry, I used a prepaid card with internet capabilites bc I get them dirt cheap. I tried the sim cards with other phones and the internet works perfectly fine with other phones.

Prepaid cards do not work with BlackBerry devices.
You need a BlackBerry Data Plan.

Without a BlackBerry Data Plan, you can't access BIS and you won't ever get any service books.

They do work. My brother has the Blackberry 8800 and he uses prepaid cards all the time. Maybe its bc the 8700 series is old?
