Unhappy Quickly select all emails to delete

Is there a quick way other than pressing down the Shift key and then use the track ball to select and delete emails?

You can also do a search and then delete only the results of the search. So if you get server status e-mails every hour you can search for those and delete only those.

Thanks for the tip to "Delete Prior". I was always wondering what that one was for! The "T" shortcut was helpful too.
