Volume Question- Is there a shortcut key to put the curve on vibrate and silent? If I have to set a key I'm going to need directions lol, because I'm clueless with the keyboard. BTW I have the 8330.

Map Question- I clicked on the get directions feature with the map, but every time I put a direction in it says it can't find it. I don't know if I am doing something wrong, or if Verizon has just disabled this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok so I got the maps to get me the directions, however it doesn't work when I put in an address.

For example if I put in: 1200 First Street, Southville, Pennsylvania, United States of America

...it doesn't work. It asks for the Street, City, State/Prov, and Country.... What am I doing wrong?

What mapping program are you using? I use google maps and type in just as you would on a regular desktop browser. Street number, city and state if in the US and it goes right there.

If you have Dial From Home Screen disabled you can press F to get to Profiles. You can also set a convenience key to take you to Profiles in Options->Screen/Keyboard.

Difficult to help without knowing what mapping app you're using. There are so many of them for the BB.

Thank you. I only ask because I'm a student, so I need to make sure I have easy access to silent and vibrate haha, stupid cell phone rules.

Tele Atlas? I went to About in the Maps Application and it said for more information go to blackberry.com/maps and when you go down further it says (c) 1984-Present, Tele Atlas.

After over a year with the Curve, I just discovered last week that I could scroll over to the icon on the home screen on the upper right (just below the signal strength bars), and click on that to set vibrate/phone only, etc.

all this time, I've been clicking on "Apps" to get all my icons displayed, then finding the identical "profiles" icon to do this.
