Hey all,

I am just about to purchase an 8130 from a fellow board member. The phone will be less than 1 year old and is in excellent shape, however, I have seen from other users (and friends who own the Pearl) that the trackball can become a problem.

My question is, will the manufacturers warranty, where you just bring a phone in and exchange it for a new one if your having issues, be supported on a Verizon BB that I purchased from someone else, then activated on my account? If so, how do I prove it was less than 1 year old (ESN?)

Yes, you should be fine, and you can return it for warranty replacement if you need. They should see the first activation on it (I believe).

I know I had to do the same on one I purchased and AT&T replaced it right away.
