Any BlackBerry is setup the same for tethering. One BlackBerry isn't "easier" than the other.

I am also going to guess that if you were unhappy with an air card and its connection speed that you may also be unhappy with tethering speeds.

Depends on location and device. Are you looking to stay with BlackBerry, like hardware? Are you in a 3g area? When you had an air card, what was "no good"? Was it the speed? connection?

If it was speed, you're probably not in a 3g area, in which case, anything will run about the same (EDGE), and you'd be limited by connection to the laptop.

Either way you go, if you want it to be legit, the tethering plan and data connect plan are the same.

If it is a 3g area, and you're adamant about tethering, I'd go ATT Tilt. 3g speeds, BlackBerry Connect software available, and its easy as pie to tether (just launch the "Internet Sharing" program and hit "connect").

Or wait for the Bold, so you'll get the 3g speeds with BB OS.
