So I was sitting in my local Arby's eating lunch with a friend (who is a detective in the local police department) and was reading some emails on my BB. (Yes I know it was a little rude, but hey, I really had to read a couple of the emails). When this kid comes up to me and says that he an a buddy of his got a couple stolen BB's and would I be interested in buying one or atleast helping them get them activated... I look at my friend and just smile.
My friend says sure, we are interested in buying them and asks how much. They offer them up for $150 a piece or all 3 for them for $400. We ask to see them, and he tells us to hang on a minute, he goes over to his buddy, and they go out to their car and gets them. They come bring them back in (2 Pearls and a 7250) and show us the BBs.
So my friend says we will take all 3 of them. And tells these guys that we need to go out to my friends car so he can get his wallet and give them the cash. So the four of us walk out of Arby's and walk up to the unmarked police car. These two guys are still talking away to me while my friend politely asks them to put there hands on the car. Only then did they realize they were standing next to an unmarked car.
They both started saying that the phones weren't stolen, that they belonged to a friend of theirs, etc... No dice though, they were both arrested on the spot. Just found out from my friend that, 1 they were stolen, 2 they were stolen early this morning, and 3 the kids fingerprints were all over the house they robbed.
I can't stop laughing about this whole thing... The funniest part is my buddy was sitting at the table with his service pistol and badge on his belt. They must have seen it when we got up to walk out to the car... I thought this stuff only happens on TV. Guess it happens in real life to.
