Default Rogers - Not a bad deal

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Just thought I'd let you know I went ahead and ordered my Bold from Rogers over the phone.
I managed to get the phone for $399 and the 6gb data plan for $15 a month.

Not bad!

Should arrive in the next couple of days and I am very much looking forward to it.

nice

I'm tier 4 ranked customer with Rogers, he was pretty quick to give me the phone for 399 and the $15 recurring credit on my account with the sign up of the data plan.

Played it well, Corporate about to invest in Bell, I have the option to join or go on my own, company will be happy to pay my contract out with Rogers if I join the corp Bell program etc etc. Worked like a charm.

I have been on the phone with Rogers Since the device Launched on the 21st I have been quoted many different Prices to do a HUP. 799.99, 749.99, 699.99. Not a chance in this lifetime. I called yesterday to get some info about reducing my Minutes I don't have any need for 700.00 Minutes and Upgrading to the 6 Gig Package. The Guy I spoke to yesterday told me you can only get the 250 minute package w nites and weekend through Customer Relations and they are not open on Sundays.

So I just got off the phone with "Customer Relations" Changed My Plan to 250 min Nites and Weekend @ 6 For 25.00. Upgraded my Data Pack to 6 Gigs for 30.00. Asked about pricing for the BOLD and the young lady named Bridgette stated 749.99 -50.00 service adj 699.99 I told her its cheaper for me to buy it out right. You guys treat your new customers better than you treat your current ones. "let me See what I can do" 399.00 Come on Bridgette is that the best you can do? I would be happy to goto Bell or Telus and get a fancy new Phone for free. One minute Mr.B***ler let me see What i can do...

5 minutes later she comes back and OMG $0.00 BOLD.... HAHA hit the jackpot... thank you bridgette you made me day....

I just called and I got my bold for free. Threatened to cancel as I wasn't on a contract. They passed me onto a customer relations rep. and viola...free bold. It was easy. She said that I had a very high internal customer rating and that was the driving factor behind the free device vs. 399.99

I was at the rogers store at yonge and davisville today- they had them in stock and the guy told me that it takes a long time to activate so it would be better for me to come back in an hour. when i went back he said that since my brother had used up all our accumulating credit on his iphone back in july, it was not possible for me (a 5 + year rogers customer-my entire family uses rogers for all our services and they are NOT cheap) to get the phone for 399$-they were saying it would be 750$!!!!! im extremely dissapointed and cant believe that someone walking in off the street who has never paid a cent to rogers can get it for 399 while loyal customers have to pay 750 dollars... its ridiculous i dont even know what to do.... any ideas??
