I keep recieving wierd text messages. Maybe twice a day. I assume I am being charged for them too! Has anyone seen this? Know how to stop it?

Have you phoned AT&T to see if they've got any ideas? Could be something network related?

Wirelessly posted (8100 Strike 2)

Yep, I would call AT&T and see what they say.

I see them from 55555 sometimes. Not sure if these are related, but I feel your pain.

I was getting some weird stuff when I switched from a RAZR2 to my BB 8820. The text messages were MEdia Net "tips and tricks" and geared for the Moto phone. I changed My Device on My AT&T page from the RAZR2 to the 8820 and most of the gibberish stopped. One last thing I had to do was use my old RAZR to open the MEdia Net mobile mail app and delete the hotmail account from my listed accounts. I made sure there were no accounts listed. I was getting notifications of new inbox mail from that hotmail account and the only way to kill it was through the RAZR.

When I had my MOTO Q9h those hit me extra hard. They were just gibberish like the OP is getting.

when I first got my 8330, I was getting them 6-8 times a day for the first few days. they stopped on their own after a few days. I stopped opening them after the first day.

that's neat. I seldom get them now, since I'm all BB.
