The top three slits are the speaker ports. One of the bottom holes is the microphone, the other, not too sure..

The two metal ovals on the bottom sides are the charging cradle contacts. (I know you were asking about the holes, though .... )

the one on the right at the bottom is for you to hang your toys/lanyards. whatever those things are called.

Umm there is no lanyard loop on the Bold those are speaker holes

There is a lanyard loop. It is on the bottom right. If you take the battery cover off you will see where the loop attaches to.
