With this new yellowpages.com mobile trash I have hidden 13 icons for things like music id, shope tunes/themes/graphics/etc etc etc... AT&T says there's no way to opt out, but I argue that they are choosing which service books to shove at their paying customers. I can opt out of solicitation text messages, but there is no option to opt out of the bb service book crap.
How do other providers handle this? How many items? Can you opt out?

Sprint pushes a bunch of bloatware. When I got my Curve I had icons for:
Facebook (installed it)
Sprint TV (hid it)
Sprint Music Store (hid it)
Pocket Express (hid it)
Google Talk (hid it)
Yahoo Messenger & AOL IM (I used JiveTalk, so hid both)
Sprint Software Store (hid it)
I also hid Compose, Help (wait, I uninstalled that), Saved Messages, Email Settings (I use the BIS website), and Setup Wizard.
And I'm told there is no way to opt out.
I had a friggin canary when they started pushing the TeleNav installer icon to all of our corporate devices. THANKS FOR THAT! I had people calling me left and right asking what it was and how to use it and how much did it cost. Pissed me off royally.
