Hey guys,

I bought a 8700g (tmobile branded) used, and have only been using it for phone/sms. I just called fido and got the 500mb plan for 25$. They did not specify if it was BBconnect or not, but they said it should be fine. Now I tried to register it on the BIS site, and it said that it was already registered to another carrier. Do I call tmobile and get them to unlock the pin/imei? once that is done (fingers crossed) what is the best way to register it on fido and get the programs/service books i need to use pin2pin and such? I have a pretty good knowledge of blackberry's themselves, but not so much with regards to service providers, any help is greatly appreciated!

Get T-MO to release the PIN. If your data is for BB BIS then you should be fine, once the PIN is released and put on Fido.

I didn't think Fido supported the BB.
