Hi there. Just got my Blackberry and been trying to setup my email account. It only lists the Enterprise system option when I was to set up my email.

Does this mean that I cannot set up my email account if I do not have a Blackberry plan?

I know I can't get pushmail. What about setting up my phone so I can get and check normal emails with by wifi?

i am in the same boat.......i have data pack but dont want to use the blackberry utility.


I would prefer to just add my POP email accounts details into my phones email section and just check them like any other person with a notebook.


I there a 3rd party email program that can be used instead of the BB app?

Gonna install it now. Btw, where do you find the POP 3 stuff from gmail accounts?

make sure you set you APN in TCP settings

I know this sounds weird but I managed to connect to my gmail after I followed according to these instructions: ttp://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=13287 (please add a h in front)

However, I receive my EMAILS from an EARLIER DATE?? WTH? Emails from Oct 3rd -- 10th.

Also, when I try to send emails, it doesn't send.

Help me out?
