Default Clicking during calls

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8300 on AT&T's network that I have upgraded to OS 4.5.0.108/4.5.0.81 and it is working just fine for the most part, but I've noticed a strange issue with clicking sounds during calls that ultimately overwhelm voice and require hanging up.

What happens is that call quality is just fine for 20-30 minutes, but then an occasional click will be heard on my end, perhaps every 30-60 seconds. It is a bit annoying but the call can easily continue. Over the next 10 minutes or so the click will begin to happen more frequently to the point that it is happening every 1-2 seconds which makes hearing the other person talking nearly impossible.

I don't recall exactly when this first occurred, but it did happen with prior installations of the 4.5 OS. I'm just not sure if it happened with a 4.2 OS.

In any case, is this likely a software/OS issue or a hardware issue? Or network?

Thanks.

same thing here...I presumed (hoped) that it was AT&T upgrading their system...rolling out more 3G.

anyone more in the know?

This seems to be a widely reported issue that no one has been able to fix. I assume that you have both done hard battery pulls to attempt to reset the BlackBerry once it starts to act up.

I have read as many posts as I can across the forums and they are all filled with people saying "I am getting the same thing on my device".

Couldn't find an answer anywhere guys - sorry.
