Default Storm Memory

Please Login to Remove!

It looks like the Storm has tons of memory. My 8830 has 64MB, I think. I am maxing out memory loosing call logs and messages. With 1GB, please correct me if I'm wrong, it looks like the Storm will not fill up like my 8830.

You are correct about the 1gb on-board memory, not to mention expandable memory through a microSD card. I believe the max is 16gb.

Why can't you use the micro memory card to expand the memory on the 8830 and you can on the Storm?

Difference between built in memory and media card memory. Device memory can't be upgraded on any device. The Storm comes with 1GB device memory, but can't be changed.

I did a search on memory management and found very detailed information. I have only pulled my battery out and went from 0 available to over 5MB. I guess because the Blackberry is so stable and I have not pulled my battery out for many months not needing too, it frees up alot of memory. Hope this helps.

The 1GB is not OS memory, and if you have alot of apps you could have this happen. See the post I just made in first impressions.
