It will only roll up and down and to the left. It wont roll to the right, how do I fix this? What should I do?

First try turning the device off, then while pushing in on the trackball, roll it in the direction it will not work. This often dislodges foreign material from the pick ups. If that doesn't work then move on to trying to clean it by disassembly. This is RIM's recommended fix.

I heard somewhere that you can use surgical alcohol to clean it with.
Saves you having to take the device apart.
Apparently it's grease causing the ball to get "stuck"?!

I find this happens mostly on Monday....clearly after the weekend where people have been out and gone to the kebab shop on their way home......greasy fingers and all that....tut tut tut....


So far cleaning it like that has worked everytime!
