Hi i recently purchased the blackberry bold and am trying to setup my email. It is not a work email but whenever I access the setup wizard and try to setup the email my only option is the Blackberry Enterprise Server. How do I get my email onto this phone?

An easy way to set up your e-mail is to go to the AT&T BlackBerry web site and start the process there -> BlackBerry Internet Service

thank you. I set that up. How long does it take until the emails are forwarded to my blackberry? should i turn it off and on. Or just wait

As long as you have a BB data plan, your email should be automatically pushed every 15 minutes or less using BIS and in near real time using BES. You don't have to do anything other than the initial set up.

Okay thank you. I got the email setup but now my problem is my email and my internet browser only work when I have wifi access and Im not getting emails and cant access the internet when Im not connected to wifi. What is the problem?

Are you 100% sure that you have a BlackBerry Data Plan on your account?

just figured mine out, had to restart the blackberry to register it then made my account and i'm getting emails now... woo hoo.

I can still send emails and stuff when Im not on wifi just cant receive them. Can you send emails even without the data plan?

No. It may be sending them without a data plan when you wander into a WiFi network. You hit Send, the BB puts the email into que, and when it detects a WiFi signal it springs to life.
