Default Memory Cleaning

Please Login to Remove!

Since I upgraded to OS 4.5 I noticed I have this feature under Options - Security that says "memory cleaning". It was disabled. Is this somthing that I should enable and does it serves the same purpose as a battery pull? I also noticed if I enable it it already have some registered cleaners listed.

Memory Cleaning is a security feature... not a maintenance feature.
It does not do the same thing as a battery pull.

Memory Cleaning writes over deleted memory to ensure that the erased data can not be recovered.

A battery pull does far more than just freeing memory.

You will see minimal to no impact on your memory by using this feature. It does no real harm to use it, but don't expect great results from a free memory perspective.

Also with everything mentioned, Memory Cleaning will also disable itself after a while if content protection is not turned on.
