Default Couple newbie questions.

Please Login to Remove!

1. Do you guys use a screen protector?

2. How can you tell which current version of Firmware you are running. (May have been answered already here if you know can you please link I did look)

3. Do you guys know of a reliable source of open source apps ... like games that are designed for the Storm. From what I have gathered it seems this is too new for developers as far as free apps go. I know that BB.com has the pay for apps but I was just looking to play around with stuff.

1.) Screen protectors are NEVER a bad idea.

2.) Options > About. Or compose an email or SMS and type myver

3) Check out the Aftermarket section of the forums.

Pravius,

1. I used the $9 Verizon screen protector on my first Storm and it was perfect. You also get 3 of them in that pack. IMO - stay away from ZAGG invisi-shield or any type that requires you to spray an application fluid on your screen. Go to Youtube and type in "ZAGG Storm" and watch the horror stories.

My replacement Storm has no screen protector. I am just using the Storm with the factory screen protector. When its worn out Ill remove it and use a VZW sticky screen protector.

2. "Options > About" give you your current OS, which is most likely .75 if you haven't uploaded a beta OS.

3. These are a couple good sites for 3rd party apps:

BlackBerry Software Store - powered by Handango
JC Designs Blackberry Themes
CrackBerry.com – The #1 Site for BlackBerry Users & Abusers
