Hi, I started a small project where I want to give users quick access on SugarCRM data (read only). As SugarCRM has a SOAP interface, it was pretty straight forward to set up a "Buttom Up" MDS project.
After I understood part of the generated code, I was at least able to create a persistent settings screen to store user credentials as well as implementing user authentication whenever a session has timed out or does not exist.
Right now I struggle how to display a search result. The SOAP interface gives back an XML string which is being bound to a Data definition. As far as I saw, the XML consists of:
- Basic result parameters (result count, available fields, ...)
- Search results (result id's and demanded fields)
The Data definition looks like:
get_entry_list_result
- entry_list : entry_value[]
- error: error_value
- field_list : field[]
- next_offset : integer
- result_count : integer
Looking at examples created by the wizard, I was not able to work out how to display a quick list of "first_name", "last_name" and "account_name" - the only thing I was capable of was using the "id" to display in a "single choice list".
Anybody has some basic experience on using MDS with SOAP (especially SugarCRM) to help a little bit please?
