Default ring & vbrate 8900

Please Login to Remove!

I am a new owner, it arrived yesterday.
I tried ringing my number, the phone rang ok, I changed the option under normal profile, edit, phone, to vibrate only, rang it again, it vibrated ok.
changed option again to ring + vibrate, when I ring it it vibrates, but no ring.
I tried changeing the volume (hi med lo mute) to hi, in holster & out of holster, still the same.
Tried removing the battery, still the same.
Tried full reset (factory setting) still the same result.

Am I missing something, or is my phone faulty?

Did you wait long enough? The blackberry doesn't ring and vibrate at the same time -- at least that's the way it is on the models and OS's I'm familiar with. It will vibrate, then ring, when set to vibrate + ring.

You can get this for free from BigTinCan Buzzme on Blackberry App World.
Works great.

It sucks that you have to go 3rd party to get that done. Oh, well. BuzzMe works for now until RIM makes it stock, IF that ever happens.
