Hi! Please help to solve the problem. WiFi connect function is inactive, the settings are not included in the main menu. The only available wireless networks are bluetooth and adge. Current software: v5.0.093. WLAN: 2.6.0.21.
The same problem came up with some previous versions.

Isn't that a beta OS version? That could be your problem. Maybe roll back the OS.

It is! Besides I tried a few different versions like
8900M_PBr4.6.1_rel217_PL4.2.0.85_A4.6.1.133
8900M_PBr4.6.1_rel217_PL4.2.0.85_A4.6.1.217 etc. The same!

There's an idea that it is locked by the carrier to force users connect to GPRS. Is there any way to activate it in the engineering menu?

The latest, non-beta, OS version is now available for the 8900. You can find it on top of this device specific forum. Try installing it, it could fix your concern.
