I guess that's a RIM/Facebook question. I'm not sure persons outside of the development team would know that. Maybe one might passby and give you some insight.

I find that the BlackBerry facebook app is lacking, as most of the activities that happen within your facebook profile are not viewable within the app. You can't get e-mails, and most activities are not provided

IM+ has FB chat, and JiveTalk's latest Beta has FB chat (but that has been in Beta for a while now)

JiveTalk isn't free last time I checked. Good app though.

No they are not free apps, but they have trials.
