Default Casemate fuel for the bold

For those of you using this... I'm just trying to recall what power cord came with it....

A USB to mini USB or a electric plug to mini USB? I can’t recall.

Thanks

It does not come with a cord. You recharge with a regular mini USB. If you have the Bold snapped into the Fuel, you can use your regular BB power cord and both will be charged.

What Rich said.

And if any of you are wondering about this holster I think it is really great. I have had it for 2 weeks now and used it through two heavy-use trips where I can't really plug in at all and it helps me make it through the day and more easily.

I find it also very useful for charging my phone while on the plane. Power my phone off right at the beginning, throw it in the holster, turn the holster on, and by the time I land I have a fully charged phone even if I may have run it quite far down.

Very nice indeed.

What are your thoughts on the clip that holds the phone. It seems pretty easy for the phone to slip out?

The clip holds the phone in position quite well. The issue with the device is it makes excess contact at the corners at teh top and along the bottom, rather than an even snug fit. The result on the Bold is a wearing away of the silver paint on the bezel in those spots. You will also see the rubbery coating wear away in the corresponding spots on the inside of the case.

In fairness to case-mate, I have not tried more than one unit (so my unit could be faulty), and they are in communication with me to work on the issue.

I agree that the clip holds the phone quite well. I was concerned when I read a few of those reviews, but for 2 weeks now I have not had a single mis-hap. I have bumped it a few good times with my laptop bag to in the airport and held solid.

I haven't seen my phone wearing down yet, but I have seen the clip around where it rubs on the belt being rubbed off a little.

all in all, well worth it if you need more power and don't want an extended battery. I think this it quite a clever solution.
